Coffee Talk Tuesday #20

Welcome to the weekly chat where I spill my guts and try not to spill my coffee. That would be very sad.

Because one should be coy while drinking iced Dunkin’ coffee.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I returned to Chestertown at 3 a.m. on Monday after a whirlwind Houston-sweep-Memphis trip. If we talked on Monday, I apologize, I can’t quite remember our conversation. I might’ve been a little loopy!

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I’m SO ESSITE to have a real-life coffee date with my Carly, who is coming to town this weekend. EEEEEE!!!!! Coffee and sun buns and sunshine (please world).

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I’m also excited for many things this week: my MIL’s birthday, the heart of back-bending worksop on Sunday, another WAC Open House on Saturday, my first outdoor-at-the-vineyard Zumba class, and more. It’s going to be a busy, but full, week.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I bit the bullet and officially declared my departure from the board at Colchester Farm CSA. It’s an organization that I value and love, but I’m planning on really focusing my energy in 2017. I know (I mean, really know) that the adage is “if you want something DONE, give it to a busy person” and that has pretty much been my life motto. I’m very good at being busy and very good at tasks. I’m purposely refining my ‘busy’ schedule so I can focus on a few sets of tasks. This is super new to me, so I’m learning, and would love and appreciate your happy words and advice!

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I met one of the most precious prospective students yesterday, and she told me she planned to take lots of leaf-changing photos on campus and gather a leaf of every color to press & show her friends at home (she’s from an area of the country where the leaves don’t change). It was a happy reminder to slow down and enjoy the changing colors on the Shore. Love it.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I attended an intensive marketing academy this past weekend and came back feeling refreshed, full of new ideas to implement, and almost a little overwhelmed (in a good way) for possibility.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I’m SUPER stoked to share the new TurboKick Live format with my students. I’m still working on the moves, but it’s coming your way so soon. I have rekindled my love for this format, and hope to even add another class in the near future. Right now, I only offer it at lunchtime on Wednesdays. It’s a GREAT format to make you feel strong, empowered, and pleasantly sore the next day. We throw punches and kicks to kick-ass music.

Drink up, loves!
