My Inspiration

As a fitness instructor, it’s easy to get caught up in your own methods, your own ideas, and your own fitness rules. When I’m in the middle of prepping for 10+ fitness classes a week, it’s easy to keep teaching the way I’m used to, to keep using the same methods. As much as I absolutely LOVE it, prepping for class takes a lot of work and energy.

However, I believe best instructors are the ones who continue to seek outside inspiration, new knowledge, and ideas. With that in mind, I’ve compiled a list of people who continue to inspire me daily!

1) Chalene Johnson. I follow this lady on facebook and instagram. She’s such an inspiration! Chalene is the mastermind and powerhouse behind my beloved beachbody classes: PiYo Strength and Turbo Kick. Her business sense, style, and enthusiasm are super worthy of emulating.

2) Katy Widrick. Beyond being an Emmy-nominated executive producer and a fantastic writer, Katy is breaking strong into the fitness instruction world with PiYo Live (one of my favorite formats to teach!). I love her boldness and desire to encourage others to be smart about health and wellness.

3) Kino MacGregor. This lady is yoga personified. Her moves are challenging, and she always performs them with a giant smile on her face. I love following her travels and moves via instagram!

4) Kathryn Budig. I love this woman’s soul. Everything about her is beautiful. I’m so excited that I got to take a workshop live with her last spring, and continue to be inspired by her lifestyle daily. Yoga goddess!

5) Natalie Jill. I found her through Chalene Johnson. I love her daily fitness videos on instagram! Her story is awesome, and she inspires me to share my fitness abilities with the world.
