Fall Race Line-up

Each time I think about this fall race line-up, I get more and more excited. Check it out:

1. ZOOMA Chicago Half Marathon – August 10
One of my 3-year goals is to run the Chicago Marathon. This gets me in the city for a race!

2. Annapolis 10-miler – August 25
My favorite race of the year. This will mark #3 running it.

3. Ragnar Relay Nashville – October 25-26
12 friends, 2 days, 14-20 miles each (my leg is 17.7 – three runs of 6.8, 5.7, 5.2)

4. Chester River Challenge Half Marathon – November 3
I love hometown races! This one will benefit the Chester River Association and the Sultana Project, which makes it even better.

5. Philadelphia Marathon – November 17
My first full marathon. This is what I’ve been working toward all year! So excited to run here.

This is a challenging fall line-up! I haven’t raced a single 5k this year, looking toward more long distance races. I love the training and discipline required for longer races.

I’ve been running consistently every other day since April. In July alone, I logged 103 miles. Total mileage for 2013 so far is 377. Total mileage since I started keeping track (February 2012) is 902. Almost at the 1,000 mark!

  1. The Ctown half is my first half! I can’t wait! Well really I can, as in anticipating not really being ready, but sink or swim I will have my first one to nix off the list. LOL

      • Centreville. 🙂 The galf was a last minute decision. I’m not really confident I can adequately run this; im following Hal Higdon’s half. BUT I only have 6 weejs to cram it all in vs the actual 12 week plan. :/ Are you planning on running the KIRG turkey trot at the golf course by the outlets?

        • You got this! Our bodies are capable of so much more than we know. As long as you train to run at least 8 miles at a time, you can push yourself to 13.1 in Ctown. The roads are flat, the spectators give you so much energy. Take your time, walk if you have to, enjoy the river. See you there!!!
