Coffee Talk Tuesday #54

Grab your cup! It’s time for Coffee Talk Tuesday.

If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that I still have sand in my shoes from our quickie beach getaway! We did some outlet shopping (a very peculiar activity for this major introvert but I actually bought things! NOT online!!! See above dress.), spent some time on the beach, I got to visit a local gym and workout every day, AND I got to see the sunrise each day. Perfection.

If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that the new June challenge – Core & More – started this week and I’m so pleased with the challengers already! People are really getting into it, and it’s SO inspiring to see what everyone does and shares each day. I love hosting fitness challenges, but especially challenges like this because of the added wellness component. We’re sharing more than just core/strength moves. There’s still time to join the fun! Fitness class attendees will get to do the moves in classes!

If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that I have an extra full week of classes with the two free Family Fitness classes this week! I have some super special activities planned – definitely lots of fun! Will I see you there? Wednesday and Friday 5:30-6:15 at Wilmer Park.

If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that we’re loving all the fresh greens and goodness from our garden lately! It’s so refreshing to be able to walk into the backyard and pick out some greens for dinner. Summer salads are my faaaaavorite. We also have our first raspberry! Perfect little delightful gem of summer!

If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that the countdown is on for Chicago and OBX. I’m heading back to Chitown for a conference at the end of the month, and then the husband and I are spending some time in OBX! I can’t believe it’s only a few weeks away…this summer is definitely moving quickly.

If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that I attended my first Blacklight Buti class. It was a little unreal – you enter, make a new friend and get painted, then stuff yourself into a tiny room with other yogis for 90 minutes (die) of booty-shaking, hip-hop inspired, strength and stretch moves under blacklights. The paint glows, everything glows, paint gets EVERYWHERE and it’s amazing. I’m super into Buti Yoga right now, and sad that I won’t be able to go to a class for a couple of weeks. I like to make it when I can! I’m also missing my hot yoga studio, thinking about sneaking in a class later this week.

If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that the studio that hosts my beloved Buti class is also hosting an instagram yoga challenge. I love having a challenge to help focus my yoga practice. I usually practice what I feel that day, but it’s nice to have a focused move to work toward in my practice.

Other than a week full of meetings (what the heck?!), and suuuuuper early mornings at work, that’s what’s up in my world! What’s going on in your world this week?
