Coffee Talk Tuesday #53

Grab your cup! It’s time for a Coffee Talk. Or tea. Or water. Whatever you want!

If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that we have lots of changes (again) at work! It’s a totally different place than when I started, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but the change has been happeningĀ a little too frequently–I feel like we haven’t been able to catch our footing from the last round of changes just yet. But, like good worker bees, we’ll carry on, shifting our goals and priorities to the next regime. C’est la vie!

If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that I debuted a new section/idea in my TurboKick Live class last night (a killer 5-minute set of explosive moves – squats, planks, burpees set to music) and it went better than I could have imagined! I’m so lucky that my peeps will take anything I throw at them with great stride. It’s so much fun coming up with new challenges, and I can’t wait to unveil even more.

If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that the husband and I get some beach time later this week! I’m excited to get away for a little bit and hopefully slow down. It’s needed!

If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that I ran half marathon #7 this past weekend! I’ll share more in a race recap post, but overall it went well. We did it! In tutus! Did you see our tutus (scroll through)? It was the first half marathon I’ve run in four years! In 2012/2013, I basically ran any and every race that was offered near me. A running machine! I’m glad to know that I can still do it, but I think I’m happy to keep running for fun these days. I definitely no longer have a competitive running edge! But it was fun to celebrate 10 years of my favorite race, and to put on that fancy tutu.

If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that I’m hosting another free online challenge group! This one is called Core & More, and not only does it feature a daily move prompt, we’re also answering a daily wellness prompt. I love the accountability of groups like this, and I can’t wait to share some of my favorite core moves. I will post photos and videos in the group, and encourage challengers to do the same. Join us!

If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that I finally put together a hammock we received as a wedding present…nearly two years ago. Oops! I put it on my staycation to do list, and I’m so glad that I did! It’s marvelous. Aren’t hammocks wonderful?! I love having one in our backyard!

  1. I really loved the new Turbo Kick routine abs the PiYo routine tonight! Thanks so much for all you do! I can’t wait to see what else you have in store! Good luck with the changes at work! Have fun at the beach! I’m also looking forward to the upcoming challenge! Enjoy the hammock!
    I’m meeting a new family, for occasional babysitting! I also have a training to go to Thursday night, so I would have missed PiYo, so that works out well that you’re going to be at the beach!
