Wedding Tasting

Let’s be honest, the tasting is one of the BEST parts of wedding planning. I love eating food!

Early on, we decided to host a ‘brunch-style’ wedding. We are both huge fans of brunch foods, and it makes it a little easier to accommodate everyone’s food needs.

We’re working with Cantwell’s Tavern in Odessa, which is located just across the street from our ceremony and reception site. We found Cantwell’s on a whim, looking for a non-chain restaurant to enjoy dinner before a movie one evening, a little more than a year ago.

We both immediately fell in love with the atmosphere and the food. When we discovered that they hosted weddings, it was almost like fate. We knew this had to be our wedding location and caterer.

Super excited to eat brunch!

Let’s talk about the food. We’re having a build-your-own omelette station, a French toast bar, potatoes, turkey bacon, turkey sausage, a carving station with top sirloin, and grilled salmon. There are so many options!

My favorite is the French toast bar – fresh fruit, syrups, nuts, powdered sugar, lots of options for topping this perfectly-cooked breakfast delight.

For the tasting, the chef prepared omelettes in a couple of different ways, and he loaded up our plates with the meats and potatoes. We left the restaurant stuffed and so happy with our brunch wedding decision.

We’re also having an open bar, with treats like mimosas and Bloody Mary cocktails. Brunch at its finest!

I can’t wait to share this amazing meal with friends and family in 109 days! #HappilyEverAnderson2
