Coffee Talk Tuesday #28

Welcome to the weekly chat where I spill my guts and try not to spill my coffee. That would be very sad.

img_6192 Ok, ok I know what you are thinking – like, it’s Thursday, right? Yes! This is a special edition of Coffee Talk Tuesday that I am calling Coffee Talk Thursday, because I can.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that this week has sufficiently kicked me in the you-know-what. This week won, y’all. I’ve been in a vortex of DayQuil-meets-NyQuil and I don’t hate that combo one bit. I have my energetic spurts where all the things get done, but for the most part, my energy has been zapped.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that our house is all lovely and decorated for Christmas. As someone who has previously skipped Christmas, I’m pleased to say the holiday now holds a special place in my heart. I love our new traditions – picking out and cutting down a tree from a local farm, hanging our stockings together, Christmas Eve dinner at our cousin’s house, Christmas Day dinner with the in-laws, and of course finding the pickle in the tree.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that we have just 6 working days left until a 12-day break from work! I love having this time to spend with my little family. For the first time in awhile, we don’t have plans to go away during this time, so we’re spending the holiday time off at HOME!

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I’m equal parts nervous and excited to host a FREE Happy Hour Zumba class in a NEW location. I haven’t started a class in a new location in quite some time, so there are definitely butterflies in anticipation of the outcome. The class will start regularly in January, but I wanted to kick off the class in a special way before the holidays. Fingers crossed for a great evening!

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I’m also nervous/excited for a new 4-week winter class schedule to start next week. I’m loading up the schedule — 2 morning classes, 4 lunchtime classes, and 5 evening classes. Whew! Throw in a couple of weekend classes that I’m subbing, and winter just got uber busy.

That’s all I have for now — see you on Tuesday ;).
