Coffee Talk Tuesday #126

It’s Tuesday! Grab a cup and let’s start talkin’.

It’s a new week, and SPRING is on the way. It might not feel like it, since it’s super cold where I live, but I am told it’s spring week.

If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that I’m still in retrograde mode (dang you Mercury, which may be closer to Earth than Venus, did you hear?). Do we ever really come out of retrograde? I’m losing the ability to tell for sure. I’m making the mistake of working on a new project, and it’s proving rather difficult. I like coming up with creative ways to problem solve, but sometimes it’s best just to start over or even be done with it. Maybe it’s just that spring and change are in the air? Maybe?

If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that another new thing I’m doing is a CELERY JUICE challenge. My friend Amanda (Fit Flock) shared that she’s trying daily celery juice, and I messaged her like “hey that sounds fun, do you want to make a video?” which was hilarious. Peep insta IGTV for the full video. Basically, I’m committing to 7 days of straight celery juice. Why? I keep seeing it everywhere. Is that a good reason to do it? Well, not necessarily, but it is piquing my interest. And, it’s celery juice, I don’t see a ton of harm in it, even if the research is currently lacking. The worst thing that could happen is more energy, better skin, and being more hydrated. So, here we go. I’m pulling out my juicer and prepping for daily morning celery juice. Apparently, it’s best to have it fresh, first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. Today has been great so far! I’ll check in on insta with my daily updates.

If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that I spent last week trying lots of different fitness classes! I went to my first advanced yoga class, and actually ended up going again last night, hightailing it down the road to Middletown after teaching a new turbo kick set. I’m loving this practice. I missed my Sunday yoga (because life), so it was great to have another day of guided practice. I also went to a toning class, an OTF class, a yoga LIIT class, and a kickboxing class. I loved it all. I enjoy getting a brief respite (even if I did still teach 4 classes last week) to work my body. It’s important to keep learning as a fitness professional. New studies (often conflicting) appear all the time, and I like keeping abreast of the best practices. That’s why I’m constantly chasing after new certifications.

If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that it’s awesome being inspired daily by the Spring into You Wellness group! I tried to choose a variety of prompts, and I’m diggin’ everyone’s responses each day. It’s never too late to hop on the train. Join us! Today’s prompt is “share two foods you’ll have today that are WORTHY of you.” What I mean by that is food is FUEL and LIFE – so often food gets seen as something bad, things to avoid, eat this not that. I want to celebrate it and change the mindset about food. Join us!

If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that
